A unique point of difference with CABworkshop is that the owners, Stuart and Alex, are both Industrial Designers. This means we're able to initiate a design for you from scratch or, if you already have drawings etc, our design background will ensure that key design elements aren't lost to standard cabinetmaking norms but rather are implemented with integrity for the design intent.

GREY LYNN KITCHEN
Rustic Bandsawn oak door and drawer fronts with servo-driven lift-up flap. Finished with WOCA Diamond Oil. Solid oak bar top sits on pure-white caesarstone island.

A Passion for Detail
CABworkshop was formed in early 2016 by Stuart Bowman, a qualified Industrial Designer with a passion for furniture and cabinet design.
Stu has had over 20 years of experience in the industry. Prior to this, he worked as an Industrial Designer in Sydney for 10 years returning to NZ in the late nineties to initially work with then take over the iconic Auckland furniture brand Apartmento. Apartmento remains one of NZ's leading residential furniture brands renowned for its contemporary aesthetic and high build quality. With his wife Melissa, Stuart also created, developed then sold the Meluka furniture brand to Danske Mobler in 2015.
Stu has a passion for furniture and furniture design history and is committed to producing the highest quality work.
